ABOUT

Created in 2022, Champion Cheerleading was originally created to rally up school spirit for our sports teams on campus. After two seasons, we've grown into a competitive team earning School Grand Champion at the state level and First Place in the middle school division at the Battle of the Bay National Competition. Championship cheerleading competitions. We offer both a sideline and competitive team. Champion Cheerleading creates a space for friendship, learning, and a chance to see what discipline can create. Champion Cheerleading is currently ran by Mrs. Abigail Friend, who also teaches English at JMAM.

HOW TO TRY OUT

Try Out season begins in Late April - May. Check out our Facebook during this time for real-time updates. A parent meeting will be held in person (with a live-stream available upon request) that will go over in depth the ins and outs of being a Champion Cheerleader. It is MANDATORY to attend if you intend to try out. You MUST have a sport physical and a consent form to participate. Both can be completed online. You will need a 2023-2024 physical to try out AND another updated sports physical after June 1st 2024 to participate in the cheerleading summer camp.

Incoming sixth graders to Jewett Middle Academy will have try outs in Early June. You MUST have a sport physical and a consent form VALID AFTER JUNE 1ST 2024 to participate. Both can be completed online.

Occasionally, spots may open for the competition team during the school year due to positions changing, moves etc. Feel free to contact Mrs. Friend by email to seek further information. [email protected]

Registration for Parents

• Go to www.aktivate.com
• Click Login
• Click Create an Account (You only need ONE account, even if you have children in more than one high school and/or junior high; Do Not create another account if you have used Register My Athlete in the past)
• Fill in personal account information (this should be the Parent’s personal information)
• You will be using the site as a Parent
• Click Submit

After you have an account:

• Login
• Under the Parents header (Blue), Click the button labeled “Click here to start/complete athlete registrations“. (the first time you log in you will be asked to agree to terms and conditions)
• Click Start/Complete a Registration (upper left hand corner of the page)
• Click Start a New Registration - this is where you will enter all of your Athlete’s information
• Click on the red bars to complete all requirements
